<title>Russian couple: "We love living in Russia, we're happy but..."</title>

<description>Since Soviet times, Russians have developed a specific form of newspeak which, while maintaining political correctness, allows them to express their grievances and complaints in an allusive manner. Here we have a perfect example in the form of an interview with a married couple who, with broad smiles, utter a series of sentences that actually need to be decoded backwards and every other phrase: ‘We like everything, we are happy to live in Russia! Well, we are a little worried about the war, but otherwise everything is fine! We worry about our children because they will grow up, but other than that, it's great! It's true that we don't have gas or sewage, and we don't really know who can do anything about it, but other than that, it's very good here!’</description>
