https://video.echelon.pl/videos/watch/10b636e4-b771-467d-8f1f-838f84aea39d After Russia's latest electoral farce, two employees at a store in Sochi filmed a short video showing rising prices, jokingly captioned: "The elections are over, prices have gone up." The video exploded in popularity, reaching more than 5.5 million views. The response was considerably less funny. The two women were fired, apparently because pointing out that prices were rising was somehow more dangerous than the rising prices themselves. On this new episode of Break the Fake, Jonasz Rewiński looks at the viral video, the reaction it triggered, and why a simple grocery store joke became yet another example of how nervous the Russian authorities have become about anything that contradicts the official narrative. 🔴 Watch our 24/7 livestream - https://youtube.com/live/9RY46AUtIl4 Bringing you all the latest daily news and updates, TVP World is Poland's first English-language channel where you can find world news as seen from the Polish perspective and the latest news from the CEE region.
