A new stunt by Belarussian activist Bohan: teachers at schools in Russia's Chelyabinsk recited Hitler’s speech from the invasion of Poland, thinking they were talking about Donbas. As the activist explained, he sent letters containing a slightly edited version of Hitler’s speech from September 1, 1939, on behalf of “United Russia” to 12 schools in Chelyabinsk. Four of them refused to carry out the assignment under various pretexts, but nine educational institutions recorded the reading of the speech on video. As a matter of fact, many people have pointed out direct parallels between Putin's narratives and Adolf Hitler's speeches preceding World War 2, and the arguments justifying aggression became so much part of the mainstream in today's Russia that it's not really surprising people bought them uncritically.
