<title>Aleksandr Dugin: "Elections are not our way, we need repressions!"</title>

<description>In an interview with Ksenia Sobchak, the Russian philosopher and fascist ideologue Aleksandr Dugin explained that he 'supports repression in general as a means of elite rotation'. When Sobchak suggests that elections could serve this purpose, Dugin quickly dismisses the idea, claiming that 'it's not our way' and that 'elections turn into a circus and they don't work'. Using this logic, Dugin concludes that the only way to rotate the Russian elite is through mass-scale repression "directed not only at enemies, but at our own people too". The fact that mass-scale falsification, the absence of the rule of law, and widespread propaganda are not actually compatible with elections somehow escapes the great philosopher's mind.</description>
