https://video.echelon.pl/videos/watch/1f616d6e-5b9a-49da-8d75-1089cbea6ec3 Volodymyr Rybak was an Ukrainian politician, member of city council of Horlivka, and one of the first civilian victims of the covert Russian invasion in Donbas in 2014. On 12 April 2014 group of Russian spetsnaz soldiers under command of Igor Girkin illegally crossed the border from Russia and started capturing administrative buildings in towns such as Slovyansk and Horlivka. Rybak, as a member of city council intervened, but was captured by the masked soldiers and disappeared. He was murdered on the next day and his disfigured body was found in nearby river Torets a few days later. Along with Volodymyr Rybak, Russians also murdered two students Yury Popravko and Yury Dyakovsky who happened to come to Horlivka a few days before and were suspected by Russians in "espionage".
