Brokered by First Lady Melania Trump, a rare localized ceasefire along the Kherson frontline allowed the clearing of minefields and the entry of a convoy of 25 buses and ambulances. The convoy delivered aid and evacuated residents who wished to leave for Ukraine or Russia. This was the first operation of its kind in the four years and eight months since the war began. We speak with Zarina Zabrisky, an American journalist and the only foreign journalist based in Kherson, about the October 30 evacuation, the conditions facing those who decided to stay, and allegations that Russia may have been preparing to blame Ukraine. Media coverage was limited for Ukrainian journalists and dominated by Russian propaganda channels. Zarina also discusses how fear and intimidation are preventing some residents from evacuating to Ukrainian-controlled territory and her concerns about Russia’s growing military presence near Kherson. 🔴 Watch our 24/7 livestream - https://youtube.com/live/9RY46AUtIl4 Bringing you all the latest daily news and updates, TVP World is Poland's first English-language channel where you can find world news as seen from the Polish perspective and the latest news from the CEE region.
