Additionally, Sweden will donate 16 older Gripen C/D aircraft to Ukraine, along with advanced Meteor air-to-air missiles, ammunition, training, and support systems. The package is part of Sweden’s largest military aid effort so far and aims to significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities. Ukraine’s parliament has approved by an overwhelming majority a loan agreement and memorandum of understanding, necessary to receive funds through the European Union’s €90-billion loan for Ukraine.
