Two days later surprised commander of the Ukrainian units in the town recorded a video from the very location mentioned by Gerasimov, demonstrating that no fighting takes place there and the town is fully controlled by Ukrainian forces. Nearest Russian positions are over 10 km from the town centre and the purpose of these blatant fakes is unclear as they are in the first place ridiculed by Russia's own military channels.
