Marco Rubio: "This is not our war" - but it was in 1994?

Marco Rubio said "This is not our war, it's a war on another continent", speaking of war in Ukraine. Except in 1994 United States of America was the main actor in pushing Budapest Memorandum, in which Ukraine exchanged its nuclear arsenal - inherited on par with the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic from USSR - for assurances of security, which literally mention "Respect the signatory's independence and sovereignty in the existing borders" in its first point. So, it seems, what in 1994 was a key strategic security concern for USA, today became "not our war" when Russia violated the agreement. Actor as important as USA should probably keep their assurances, Mr Rubio, shouldn't it? Speaking of another continent, worth remembering that Venezuela is also on another continent, yet it seems to be very much "our war" for you now. And at the same time, if Ukraine is not "your war", why are you pushing so hard to negotiate a ceasefire agreement on terms very favourable, the initiator and the offender in this "not our" war?

The app sometimes behaves weirdly, working very slow. Sometimes it works just OK.
