Pride of Poland at Janów Podlaski is the most prestigious Arabian horse auction on the equestrian calendar, where some of the world's finest pure-bred Arabians change hands for extraordinary sums. The Janów Podlaski Stud Farm, the oldest state-owned stud farm in Poland, carries a history as dramatic and turbulent as the nation itself. And hidden at the back of Łazienki Park in Warsaw, the Museum of Hunting and Horsemanship is one of the city's least known and most rewarding hidden gems, tracing centuries of Polish horsemanship through carriages, bridles, and remarkable artefacts. In culture, Warsaw's Dom Spotkań z Historią is marking its twentieth anniversary with a major retrospective of Elliott Erwitt, one of the twentieth century's most celebrated Magnum photographers, bringing together nearly 130 photographs spanning more than seven decades of his career. The exhibition runs until September 20 and is one of the most unmissable photography shows in Warsaw this summer. And Warsaw's Museum of Modern Art presents Pride and Shame, a new exhibition exploring the work of Edward Dwurnik from the 1970s to the 1990s, decades of profound political and social change in Poland.
