Pekka Toveri delivers a stark warning: “We are in a hurry,” pointing to military assessments that Europe may have as little as two years to strengthen its defenses and deterrence capabilities. Looking beyond the battlefield, Major General Enno Mõts warns that the security risks will not disappear with a peace deal. “The question is, even after whatever peace agreement, what will happen to those thousands and thousands of Russian war veterans?” he asks, highlighting the long-term consequences of the conflict for Europe.
