Grzegorz Braun speaking of Ukraine (2010)

Grzegorz Braun, a Polish nationalist, is one of the most vile anti-Ukrainian, anti-EU and pro-Russian politicians in the country. He repeats Kremlin narratives about Europe, Ukraine and Poland almost verbatim. Interestingly, when he entered politics in 2010 from the same conservative right-wing positions, he said entirely different things which were much more thoughtful and almost prophetic in terms of the Russian threat and Poland's strategic interest in cooperating with Ukraine. His worldviews have evolved dramatically after a series of visits to Moscow, where he and a number of other right-wing politicians from Central Europe, including Poland, were invited by obscure Russian political think tanks coordinated by Leonid Sviridov, formally a Russian journalist, who was ultimately expelled from Poland for... intelligence activities.
