On the way the ship, previously named "Bella 1" unexpectedly switched its flag and declared Russian registration, and at least one Russian navy vessel was sent to protect it, while a Russian submarine was also spotted in its vicinity. The ship is declaratively sailing empty, without any oil, and is clearly trying to escape detention and inspection by US forces at any cost, which raises a lot of question about the real cargo it's been carrying.
