Yelena Mizulina, of the prominent conservative Putin's politicians decided to go full Orwell in her speech explaining the ideological basis of the severe restrictions on Internet usage in Russia. Mizulina explains that when something is banned, it's "the largest human freedom of all, because this thing is banned but all the others are allowed". Then she goes on, saying that "right [do to something] is the largest absence of freedom". She voiced her speech on Forum of Safe Internet in 2019, justifying the "sovereign Internet" project that has been just passed in Russia back then.
